The Province of Ontario has declared a Provincial State of Emergency.

In an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Township has made a decision to close ALL Township facilities to the public.

The following Township facilities will be closed to the public effective March 17, 2020 and will remain closed until further notice:

  • Town Hall,
  • Operations Centre,
  • Fire Halls,
  • Arena (and Seniors Community Centre),
  • Wainfleet Township Public Library,
  • Wainfleet Firefighters Memorial Community Hall,
  • Parks and Playground Facilities

Due to these closures:  all programs, permits and third-party events will be cancelled.

During these closures, Township staff will continue to be available to assist residents Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 p.m. by calling 905-899-3463.  Limited services will be available, by appointment only, for residents requiring planning, building and cemetery services.  For more information, please review our Coronavirus Update Regarding Municipal Services.

The Township's Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Management Team continues to meet regularly and will continue to monitor the evolving situation and provide updates as they become available.
